Bill Green talks with Joanne P. McCallie

The interview is with Joanne P. McCallie.  This Brunswick native has distinguished herself in the basketball world.  She is now in her fifth year at Duke and at an interesting point in her career. She has continued Duke's successful legacy.  In fact, she seems to have stabilized the program a bit as her Blue Devils have made it to the Great 8 and won the ACC championship the last two years.  The Blue Devils are currently ranked fifth in the nation which means she needs to beat someone ahead of her in the rankings in order to make the Final Four.  Those four are Baylor, UConn, Stanford and Notre Dame. That would be a big step indeed.  Joan has had two of the top recruiting classes in the country the last two years. People who have known Joanne since she played at Brunswick won't be surprised when she accomplishes this latest goal. A national championship is becoming a real possibility.  It's an exciting time for Mainers following this Mainer.
