BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- Thousands of people descend on the Bangor Auditorium each year to watch their favorite team compete in the high school basketball tournament.
With so many seats in the building, there are plenty of options to choose from to take in a game, but I ventured out Wednesday morning to take a look myself.
Starting at the balcony, I worked my way around the auditorium talking to fans. My mission was to find where the best seat in the house is to watch a game. As I quickly found out, there were many different opinions.
"It's just perfect because there aren't any people around, nobody bothering us or anything like that, just watching the game from this point, it's an excellent point of view," balcony spectator Mike Flannery said.
"Well we're at half court. You can see both sides, the view down, I like the above court, and I just like the seats, always have. We've been here for years," mid-level spectator Tim Tucker added.
The best seat we found by talking to people was right on the floor where the court is and where the official scorekeeper sits. He said he enjoys sitting there because he can hear chatter on the court among players, coaches, and officials, and really gets an inside look at the game.
