PORTLAND, Maine (AP) - The snow's long gone, but snow plow drivers in Maine's largest city will put their skills on display by driving around various obstacles in a snow plow rodeo.

Wednesday's competition among Portland Public Services crews includes timed races through obstacle courses with mailboxes, parked cars and other obstructions. Drivers will also have to drop their snow plow blades on various targets.

The winners of the competition will go on to compete in the Cumberland County Snow Plow Rodeo May 2 at the Scarborough Public Works facility. The county winners will compete for the state championships at Skowhegan Fairgrounds, June 7.
