April of 2012 will go down in the books as warmer than normal but the last five days of the month were quite cool. Below freezing temperatures were common Saturday night and again Sunday night thanks to the combination of clear skies and light winds. Tonight we can anticipate warmer temperatures as clouds move in overhead. The clouds are the forerunner of a storm system that is expected to track by to our south on Tuesday bringing us a round of precipitation and with an easterly wind I expect temperatures to remain in the 40s. The storm will move off to the east on Wednesday but an onshore flow in its wake will make it tough for us to clear out and this should keep temperatures in the low to mid 50s. We stand a better chance of seeing some sunshine on Thursday so temperatures should be closer to normal that day. A warm front will approach our region on Friday and may kick off a few showers.
