  • On this Fit at Five we introduce you to one of our Fit at Five Biggest Loser Club Members Tanya Turner. I honestly could have talked to Tanya forever about what she has been through with her weight loss journey.

    Tanya is a recovering alcoholic who thought that once she stopped drinking she would find happiness. When it was apparent that she then had to lose weight something snapped inside her and she made the change to get moving.

    The first time Tanya actually weighed herself she was 388, but she knows that she easily topped out at over 400 pounds before that weight in. She would drive her daughter to the park, but one day she decided to get out of the car and start walking. She hasn't stopped since. In fact most family activities now are revolved around being active. They will bike to the park, and even started playing tennis last year.

    Within a year Tanya had lost 40 pounds on her own. She then joined the Hot Mamas group along with another friend. Her goal was to lose another 100 in one year. She blew that goal out of the water by losing 120 pounds in just one year!

    She is truly an inspiration on how determined she was/is to change her life. Her ultimate goal with her birthday coming up soon is to be "fit, forty, and fine."
