BOSTON (AP) -- Disappointed New England Patriots fans are slowly emptying out of downtown Boston after the New York Giants beat their team 21-17 in the Super Bowl.
Police in riot gear lined the streets around the bars Sunday near Fenway Park, but fans were being quiet and orderly.
Karen Snyder of Boston is celebrating her birthday and says she's disappointed by the loss.
She says the Patriots just weren't ready when the Giants changed up their offense.
The loss is reminding many of the 2008 NFL championship, when the Giants beat the Patriots and ruined their bid for both a perfect season and the Super Bowl win.
